Medium(s): Acrylic paint, ink, watercolor, tea, ephemera Status: Complete Notes: I experimented with some collaborative art journals with Beatriz Helton and Vanessa Oliver-Lloyd. I don't know if I put too much pressure on myself or I just work better solo, but I really struggled working on these pieces. Still, it was an honor to work closely with two of my favorite artists and to see their process! Some of the pages were used for Art Every Day Month 2016 and Year of Creative Habits 2017.
×April 2017: Day 115/365 of Year of Creative Habits. A mixed media artistic nude illustration (this was taken before she added her art). Reference was a photo by mjranum-stock on DeviantArt.
×May 2017: A mixed media collage of a woman with butterfly wings and butterflies escaping from her and a neon storm in the background with the words "rise and take flight" and a quote by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
×July 2017: Days 188 and 189/365 of Year of Creative Habits. A mixed media collage depicting Mother Earth/The Empress with a drawing by Vanessa on the right.
×April 2017: A mixed media collage of paper dolls lifting each other up in front of paint splatters with a paraphrased quote by Robert Ingersoll: "we rise by lifting others."

×January 2016: Beatriz created the background and I drew/painted the demon, bones, black rays, and anatomical heart over the top.
×March 2016: Beatriz created the background and I collaged/painted/wrote over it. The women, key, pink doodles, white paint, and writing are all my contributions.

×November 2016: Art Every Day Month, Day 3. Beatriz created the background and I drew/painted over it. The woman/skeleton, hair, body, phantom limbs are all my contributions.
×January 2017: Beatriz created the background and I drew/painted over it. The purple galaxy-esque paint, dancing woman (reference was a beautiful photograph by mjranum), blue moon, crescent moons, and doodles at the bottom are all my contributions.
×April 2017: Beatriz created the background and I drew/painted over it. The blue sky, death, woman, roots, and buildings are all my contributions. The page was inspired by the song Roots Remain by Mastodon.
