In 2011, I started a “monthly journal” in a planner. For each month, I summarized events on two pages, incorporating drawings, memes, ephemera, quotes, lyrics, and bits of writing. I kept this up from January through September 2011, but I never kept a journal quite like it again! The pages are organized in the order they appear in the journal.
